Campaigners fear Peters-field could be left out of the South Downs National Park.
A public notice placed by the Department of Environ-ment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has called for objections and representations on a "possible alternative boundary line from Petersfield to Pulborough."
The South Downs Campaign (SDC) said it was "very concerned" by the development and is anxiously waiting for more information to be released by Defra on Monday, the beginning of a six week consultation period.
Spokesman for the SDC, Robin Crane, said: "It's a very definite possibility that Petersfield could be excluded." Interested parties are being invited ...
