TROY -- James K. Patrick Jr., a hard-nosed product of working-class Lansingburgh, who fought with valor during the D-Day invasion, owned a Chevy dealership, bred thoroughbred horses and became president of Key Bank, died Sunday at home in Leesburg, Fla. He was 85 years old and suffered a heart attack in March.

"My father was completely fearless and remarkably good at everything he did. He was relentless and incredibly tough," said his son, Bill Patrick, of Troy, an author.
