SPRINGFIELD - It was almost as easy as a video game.
Touchdown after touchdown, Thurston senior quarterback Tym Pearson was virtually unstoppable as he lit up visiting Corvallis - the 2006 Class 5A state champion - in the season opener Friday night.
Pearson, the defending Offensive Player of the Year in the Midwestern League, threw for 452 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Colts to a 60-13 victory at Thurston's new football field.
"We felt like we could definitely do what we wanted," said Pearson, who also rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown.
