RADA VOTES FOR SPEAKER YATSENIUK'S DISMISSAL

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, on Wednesday dismissed Speaker Arseniy Yatseniuk from his post in response to the resignation he submitted earlier. A total of 233 MPs out of the 350 registered at parliament voted for a resolution on the speaker's dismissal. Some 175 MPs from the Regions Party, one from the Bloc of Yulia Tymoshenko, ten from the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense bloc, 27 from the Communist Party and twenty from the Lytvyn Bloc, voted for the resolution. Yatseniuk was elected speaker from the Our Ukraine-People's Self-Defense Bloc faction. He filed in his resignation ...
