Klaus 'bemused' over Lisbon row
CZECH President Vaclav Klaus yesterday said he was bewildered as a diplomatic storm broke out over his criticism of the Lisbon Treaty.
That followed his denouncement of the treaty by claiming it would not help to enhance freedom and democracy.
Foreign Affairs Minister Micheal Martin said the comments were "an inappropriate intervention" by the Czech president.
Government officials are also deeply unhappy at the manner in which Mr Klaus chose to lionise Libertas founder Declan Ganley, who led the opposition ...
