JAPAN'S DENTSU TO BUY U.S. AD FIRM MCGARRY BOWEN
TOKYO - Dentsu Inc. (TSE:4324) announced Wednesday that it will buy midsize U.S. advertising agency McGarry Bowen LLC as part of a strategy to bolster its presence in the North American market. Local subsidiary Dentsu Holdings USA Inc. will acquire all shares of the New York-based firm. The purchase price has not been disclosed, but is thought to be as high as 10 billion yen (US$105 million).
