Black pepper, turmeric rise on supply constraint
New Delhi, Nov 14 (PTI) Black pepper and turmeric prices today went up by Rs 100 each per quintal in the National Capital on tight supply from producing belts.
Black pepper and turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 13,300-13,400 and Rs 5,000-6,500 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said fresh buying by retailers and stockists coupled with fall in supplies from producing belts mainly influenced the prices of select spices on the wholesale kirana market here.
They said firm trend in futures trading at the NCDEX also influenced the sentiments.
