MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 2, 1996--Quantum Corp. (NMS:QNTM), the market leader in solid state disk technology for mid-range to high-end computer systems, today announced that it has expanded its line of 3.5-inch solid state disks.

The new ESP3053R-V offers 536 megabytes of memory, and the ESP3080R-V offers the highest capacity available today in the 3.5-inch form factor with 804 megabytes of memory. These are the first solid state disks on the market to provide the single connector attachment (SCA-2), which enables direct connection in a storage subsystem in lieu of cables.
