Illegal exports of American military equipment and technology to potential adversaries have jumped 30 percent this year, with most going to Iran and China, the U.S. Justice Department announced last Tuesday.

Of the 145 people charged with rogue shipments last year, 43 percent were exporting goods to Iran and China. At least 74 exporters have been charged with sending goods to Iran over the last two years, and another 23 to China over the same period, said Justice spokesman Dean Boyd.
