Egypt to fund 200 megawatt wind farm
In its daily morning notes, HC Brokerage reported that Egypt will fund a 200 megawatt wind farm on the Red Sea with a $388 million loan from a German bank and the European Investment Bank. The project aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, the investment bank reported.
Beni Suef Cement 9-mth net profit up 5.6 pct
Misr Beni Suef Cement reported a 5.6 percent rise in net profit for the first nine months of 2008 to LE 223.3 million ($40.34 million), the stock exchange said on Sunday. It did not give further details in a statement on its website. --Reuters
