Board members help guide non-profit on path to cure diabetes
MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Spring Point Project, a non-profit organization created to provide an unlimited source of pig islet (insulin-producing cells of the pancreas) cells to accelerate the availability and affordability of islet transplantation, has attracted yet another expert to support its mission toward finding the cure to diabetes. Scott A. Dee, DVM, PhD, a Professor of Veterinary Population Medicine in the College of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Minnesota, is the newest member to join the organization's board.
