WHEATON, Ill. -- First Trust Advisors L.P. ("FTA") announced today that the shareholders of First Trust Specialty Finance and Financial Opportunities Fund, formerly known as First Trust/Gallatin Specialty Finance and Financial Opportunities Fund (NYSE: FGB) (the "Fund"), have voted to approve a new investment sub-advisory agreement with Confluence Investment Management LLC ("Confluence"), as the Fund's investment sub-advisor.
