JAPANESE TRADER REPORTS OCT SURGE IN GOLD COIN SALES
TOKYO - Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo KK on Monday announced that October sales of Vienna Philharmonic gold coins issued by the Austrian mint more than quadrupled from the same month a year earlier to 23,930 troy ounces.
Sales for the first 10 months of the year totaled 85,161 troy ounces, already more than double the 41,663 troy ounces the precious metals trader sold during all of 2007.
