For a truly passionate artist, nothing is more important than the process of creating his or her art. To Andrew Bucci, being an artist means staying in a constant state of creation, despite spending decades without selling a single piece. "I just did what I did," says Bucci, "People are more knowledgeable about art now ... I never expected such a fuss over my work."
And what a fuss, indeed! For this native Vicksburg artist who was originally schooled as an architect, painting began as a hobby at the age of 18 when he met Marie Hull. "I used to take my work to her for criticism," he recalls.
