As the cost goes down for computers with CD-ROM capability, HR professionals will be using more training and reference materials on CDs.
Using traditional processes, a technical manual would be sent to the art department for layout and illustration, then to a print shop for printing and collating. Then the two-inch-thick binders would go to the mailroom for shipping to plant locations across the country.
