Offers new loans; plans to fund more women, minorities
New York Business Development Corp. is upping its ante in New York City's small business finance game.
Two recently introduced programs significantly increase the amount and types of funds that Albany-based NYBDC is making available to small businesses statewide. Combined with an increase in personnel in the Manhattan office and a new commitment to making more loans to minority and women entrepreneurs, the programs seem sure to stoke NYBDC's lending to local businesses.
"We feel the new programs will increase our lending, particularly in New York City," says Robert Lazar, president of NYBDC.
