IN PIPELINE: A CENTRALISED LICENSING AUTHORITY FOR HEALTH SECTOR ON LINES OF FDA IN USA

November 16, 2008 (PTI Economic Service) -- With a view to ensure the uniformity in standards and regulations governing domestic pharmaceutical industry, the government is planning to set up centralised licensing authority for effective supervision of the sector.
The Government is also looking for introducing separate regulations for other related sectors such as medical devices, diagnostic chemicals and biotechnology products, which are presently included in the category of drugs. The governments move has resulted into the draft of Central ...
