ATLANTA--Dec. 10--nited Parcel Service's logistics unit Monday landed a five-year, $45 million contract with Sprint PCS, a wireless communication network the phone company and three partners are launching in 35 metropolitan areas.
The contract is one of the most comprehensive that UPS Worldwide Logistics has signed since it was formed three years ago. The unit now has annual revenue of about $500 million, compared with $21 billion for its parent company, which employs more than 8,000 people in metro Atlanta.
UPS Worldwide Logistics will process orders for Sprint PCS' wireless handsets, warehouse and distribute them, and handle product returns. ...
