WASHINGTON -- Only the really cool people can read the invisible ink listing the president's cabinet picks -- and they won't talk.

But there is a bigger group of people who think they can see some writing on the wall -- and they are willing to share some secrets.

Numerous names have been added to and crossed off the list of those being considered to fill the Ferragamo pumps of Energy Secretary Hazel R. O'Leary.

According to a Department of Energy (DOE) source, one of those now on the list is Shirley Ann Jackson, a theoretical physicist who has headed the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) since July 1995.
