TUCSON, Ariz., Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Travelers will soon be saying "plug 'er in" as they drive into The Westin La Paloma. The luxury resort is the only hotel and one of just a handful of locations in the United States to offer a re-charge station for electric cars.
Tucson is one of four cities nationwide selected to test General Motors' new, environmentally-safe EV1 cars. The first EV1 cars, which are available at participating Saturn dealerships, are hitting the road this month.
The futuristic-looking vehicles have a drive range of approximately 70 miles in town and 90 miles on the highway before the battery pack loses power. Re-charging can ...
