SPENCER - Military personnel from Spencer who are deployed could be given a break on their property taxes if selectmen agree to a plan that would use town funds to make up the difference.
Selectmen said Monday they would mull over ideas for offering either a deferment or an exemption for property owners who are sent overseas to serve their country.
"We could do something local," Town Administrator Paul J. Guida said, "and the rest of the state would be watching us."
