It is highly unlikely that any American Hockey League goaltender will ever again have a season like the one Hockey Hall of Famer Gerry Cheevers had in 1964-65.

That year, playing without a mask for not a lot of money, Cheevers was the starting goalie in all 72 regular-season games, and all 10 playoff games, played by the Calder Cup champion Rochester Americans.
