I'm in college, and a lot of my peers don't yet have a firm grasp of Windows Vista, so I'm often called on for networking problems. One of the most common things I see is people not figuring out how to get their network connections working. Usually, the fix is simple: resetting the network adapter and refreshing the IP. To do this, go to the Start menu, type Network and Sharing Center into the Start Search box, and hit Enter. On the sidebar of the resulting window, click "Manage Network Connections." Right-click on your network-adapter icon, and choose "Diagnose." After Windows does its little scan, click either "Reacquire IP Address" or "Reset the Network Adapter." ...
