NEW YORK, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- To make year-to-year comparisons easier, The New York Times Company (AMEX: NYT.A) has changed from reporting advertising volume on a calendar basis to a fiscal basis, effective with the January 1996 Advertising Volume report. The numbers for 1995 have been restated to be comparable to 1996.
Ad volume results were as follows:
-- The New York Times was down 3.3% in November and down 1.8% for the
year-to-date.
-- The Boston Globe was down 0.1% in November and down 0.4% for the
