AMBITIOUS plans for a [pounds sterling]2billion "environmentally friendly" power station were unveiled yesterday.
The coal and biomass-fired carbon capture plant at Hunterston, Ayrshire, could supply electricity to up to two million Scots.
And the developers claim it would bring 1500 construction jobs and 150 permanent posts when it is complete.
It would be the first major power station in Scotland since Torness in 1988.
And it would probably be ready by 2018 with the potential to produce two-fifths of the countrys electricity needs.
The power station would be fuelled by coal and up to 15 per cent ...
