Nov. 21--SYRACUSE -- Hamilton County residents learned what it takes to build a wind farm at an informational meeting Thursday night in the county courthouse.
Acciona energy, a company based in Spain, is planning to build a $300 million wind farm 10 miles south of Coolidge.
The wind farm, which would be called Bear Creek LLC Wind Farm, will have 90 to 92 turbines producing 135 megawatts of power. The turbines will stand 390 feet high on 10,400 acres.
Construction of the wind farm should be complete in late 2009 or early 2010.
