Under the direction of Pat Casey, Oregon State the fifth school and the first in 10 years to repeat as national champions in 2006 and 2007. Furthermore, the Beavers became the northernmost school to win a title in the previous 44 years. Scholastic Coach & Athletic Director had a chance to chat with the eager Beaver following the 2008 season, one that saw the program not reach postseason play.
COACH: You were born in McMinnville, OR in 1959 and were later a three-sport star at Newberg (OR) High School: Football, basketball, and baseball. What was is it like growing up in a tiny town in the Pacific Northwest? Talk about your athletic achievements as a youth?
