South Africa's ruling African National Congress said the global financial crisis won't curb government spending on roads, power plants and stadiums for the 2010 Soccer World Cup.

The ``prudent'' management of public finances means the government can maintain its pace of infrastructure investment even as economic growth slows, ANC Secretary-General Gwede Mantashe told reporters in Johannesburg today, following a meeting of the party's 86-member national executive committee.
