WESTBORO - James C. Hopkins, 71, of Westboro, died on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the UMass Memorial Healthcare-Memorial Hospital in Worcester. He was the beloved husband of Irene (Sullivan) Hopkins for 47 years.
Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late William J. and Elizabeth R. (Priestly) Hopkins. He was a graduate of Diman Vocational High School, Fall River. He also received a bachelor's degree from Fitchburg State College and a master's degree at Framingham State College.
He was an industrial arts teacher at Framingham Junior High School for three years and then department head at Ashland High School for 32 years, retiring in 1994. He also coached ...
