Black pepper, chilli down on sluggish demand
New Delhi, Nov 26 (PTI) Black pepper and red chilli prices today declined by Rs 100 each per quintal in the national capital on subdued export and domestic demand.
Heavy arrivals from growing regions also put pressure on the prices.
Black pepper fell by Rs 100 to Rs 13,200-13,300 per quintal.
Red chilli prices also traded lower at Rs 5,600-9,500 against the previous closing of Rs 5,700-9,600 per quintal.
Traders said reports of sluggish export and domestic demand against fresh arrivals from growing centres mainly led to a fall in black pepper and red chilli prices at the wholesale ...
