COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Jan. 3--Colorado's five ZuZu Handmade Mexican Food restaurants, which closed Dec. 23, could reopen within a couple of weeks under a new operator, the company's president said Thursday.
"We really like the Colorado market and are trying to stay in the market," said Horatio Lonsdale-Hands, president of the Dallas-based chain. "We've got an operator flying out there in the next week to see if we can get those stores back open."
Discovery Technologies Inc., the Colorado Springs-based owner of the Colorado ZuZu franchise, closed the restaurants after a plan to acquire 17 Arby's restaurants in southern Colorado fell through.
