Jack Demeron, Compton, Calif., died Aug. 2. He was 91. Dameron founded Dameron Alloy Foundries, Compton, Calif., in 1946. The organization has since grown into a multi-national company with more than 300 employees. In 1993, Dameron transferred leadership of Dameron Alloy Foundries to his son but remained involved in its operation until the time of his death. Dameron was a longtime member of the America Foundry Society and the California Cast Metals Association.
