Chile's Solari group has agreed to sell 100% of its water holding company Aguas Nuevas to Santander Infrastructure Fund II (SIF II), Aguas Nuevas and its subsidiaries reported late Thursday afternoon.
The deal, the value of which was not disclosed, involves the sale of 30-year concessions to operate water utilities Aguas del Altiplano in the far north of Chile, Aguas Araucania in the south and Aguas Magallanes in the far south. Together the companies hold 9% of the market with 360,000 clients.
