AMID the doom and gloom of the present international financial crisis and the political uncertainty prevailing in South Africa it's easy for Durbanites to forget that they live in one of the most exciting and fastest growing cities in the world.
Multi-billion rand projects, some of which are already under way, are set to transform the central city as well adjoining areas to the north and south, and Durban city manager Michael Sutcliffe says that over the next 10 to 15 years more than R45 billion will have been invested in Durban.
