Jan. 4--The Press-Enterprise, the largest newspaper in the Inland Empire, is taking on a long-time rival with plans to start a San Bernardino County edition.
Beginning Feb. 18, The Press-Enterprise will offer local news and home delivery in Bloomington, Colton, Fontana, Grand Terrace, Loma Linda, Mentone, Redlands and Yucaipa.
"We want to expand our market and gain more readers," said Marcia McQuern, editor and publisher of The Press-Enterprise.
She wouldn't say how many staffers the paper would put into the new San Bernardino County bureau, or where it will be located.
