SAN JOSE, Calif./IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 7, 1997-- Laserscope (NASDAQ:LSCP) and Medical Alliance Inc. (NASDAQ:MAII) today announced that they have entered into a strategic alliance for the further development of the office-based vascular lesion market using Laserscope's Aura Laser System as the centerpiece product.
Under the agreement, Medical Alliance will become the exclusive fee-for-service provider of Aura Laser Systems in the U.S. and over the next several months will purchase more than $1 million worth of Aura Systems for markets which Medical Alliance currently serves.
