A novel pact between the United States and the United Kingdom will virtually assure British industry participation in the more than $200 billion Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, officials said.
The pact is unique in that it does not specify the exact percentage of work to be performed by each participant nation, British defense officials said.
Instead, the agreement allows British companies to compete for JSF production, services and support work being performed by the winning JSF contractors, officials added.
