PHOTOVAC INC. has introduced the MicroFID flame ionization detector for landfill gas detection. The MicroFID is portable and easy to operate with just one tutor key which prompts the operator through the basic operations. Readings can be stored in the instrument and downloaded for subsequent analysis and recordkeeping purposes. Nonmethane hydrocarbon readings are performed with a snap-on charcoal filter capsule, according to the company.
