Dec. 2--Several activities are planned to kick off the Christmas holiday season in Creston this Thursday through Saturday.
The Quilt Block Walk throughout uptown Creston and Comfort and Joy Quilt Show at American Home Design Center, 101 N. Walnut St., start at 10 a.m. Thursday and run through Saturday.
"The quilt blocks will be available in 16 uptown stores," said Quilts and Other Notions owner Joyce Franklin. "Last year, there were more than 100 quilts and quilted items on display. Some old and some new. The quilt for the raffle to benefit Rural Iowa Crisis Center will be on display and raffle tickets are available. There ...
