Sauk County deputies are looking for the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed a 62-year-old woman crossing U.S. 12 in Lake Delton Tuesday night.

The hit and run accident happened about 9:40 p.m.

According to the Sauk County Sheriff's Office, the woman was attempting to walk across U.S. 12 near Moon Road in the town of Delton to talk to a sheriff's deputy who was assisting another pedestrian, and she was struck by a southbound vehicle.
