Legitimate mining firms appeal to Gov. Deloso
Legitimate mining firms in Zambales have urged Gov. Amor Deloso to stop illegal small-scale miners and their alleged protector from encroaching on their concessions and sowing terror.
This urgent call came following reports that illegal miners are not only taking their toll on the environment, but are likewise sowing terror in the community with the full-backing of influential officials.
They said they are being allegedly harassed by a mining firm owned and operated by a woman in Sta. Cruz.
