"Since they were the sponsor of the last RP team, the association will make an offer to them if they're interested to sponsor the team again," said the source, who asked not to be named because he was not authorized to discuss the negotiation.
The same source also revealed that in the event SMC declines the offer, the SBP plans to invite other companies including those owned by Smart Telecommunications chairman Manny V. Pangilinan who is also SBP president.
"It's an option, in case they (SMC) decline," the source added.
