Change is coming for the on- and off-ramps at the Beltline and Fish Hatchery Road in 2009.

But that is only the beginning of a project that will continue in 2013.

Next year's work, expected to be done between August and October at a cost of $700,000, will focus on the south end of the interchange bridge on Fish Hatchery Road, said Gary Sassman, a project manager with the state Department of Transportation.

Sassman said a loop ramp that now carries southbound Fish Hatchery Road motorists down to the eastbound Beltline will be removed.
