LONDON, Jan. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL), today filed comments with the U.K. Office of Fair Trading urging that the proposed British Airways - American Airlines alliance be referred to the U.K. Monopolies and Mergers Commission under the Fair Trading Act and EC Competition Law.
According to Delta, the proposed alliance between American Airlines and British Airways would create an anti-competitive concentration at London Heathrow and pose serious risks to competition and consumers.
