NEW YORK--As the February mini-market approaches, Table Trends/Decor Home Fashions is putting a more formal spin on its holiday merchandise.
Gene Baranof, chief executive, said holiday table linens have been trading up both in price and look. "The higher priced products have built in a higher priced value. Price ranges have escalated from where they used to be in all retail channels as well as the mass market. Even the mass merchants like newness." This look, he said, has been translated well to the consumer.
