The Philippine government will be joined by mining ministers and senior officials from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in a five-day meeting starting today until Friday in Pasay City to tackle immediate and longterm plans for the future of the minerals industry in Southeast Asia.
The Ninth ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Minerals (ASOMM) and Second ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Minerals (AMMin) and other related meetings, hosted by the Philippines, are aimed at drawing up regional policies that will promote regional cooperation among ASEAN member-countries.
The ASEAN countries include the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, ...
