Article: United States: MPSC Moves Forward On Green Power.

The Michigan Public Service Commission last week created the Wind Energy Resource Zone Board and appointed 11 members to serve on it.

The move was required under Public Act 295 of 2008, which mandates that anyone selling electricity in Michigan generate 10 percent of their power from renewable sources by 2015.

Under the law, the MPSC also directed utilities to file renewable energy and energy optimization plans.

The appointees to the new board are:
