Robert L. Stempien, A.I.A., a 27-year veteran of the architecture and construction industry, has been named senior director of business development at Barton Malow, a, full-service construction and design services company.

In his new role, Stempien provides business development support for the K-12 and Higher Education groups, National Sports and Specialty Projects divisions, and the Ohio and Chicago, IL, regional offices. He is based in corporate headquarters, Southfield, MI. A registered architect, he joined the company in 1998.
