Beijing Shougang to start construction on a 2 mln-ton coke project in Guizhou
Shanghai. December 10. INTERFAX-CHINA - Beijing Shougang Co. Ltd., a Shenzhen-listed subsidiary of state-owned Shoudu Iron and Steel Group (Shougang), will shortly begin construction on a 2 million-ton coke project in China's southern Guizhou Province, a company official told Interfax on Dec. 10.
"With regulatory approvals already obtained, the board is expecting to secure shareholder approval at a meeting on Dec. 25 for the proposed coke project to go ahead," the official with Beijing Shougang's securities department, who wished to remain anonymous, said.
