ILOILO CITY, Dec. 10 (PNA) The Metrobank Foundation launched this week its 70-day feeding program in three public elementary schools in Iloilo City.
Mathilde Octavio, executive assistant for education, said the recipient schools are the Rizal Elementary School, Bonifacio Elementary School and Severo Abeto Elementary School.
Forty-two students composed of Grades 1 and II have been selected as recipients.
These schools were found to have high incidence of malnutrition and pupils were getting low scores in several examinations.
Octavio said the program was patterned after the Busog, Lusog, Talino (BLT) of the Jollibee Foundation and will form part of the citys ...
